Flet's Hikari Types

In the NTT West area, Flet's fiber optic service is available in two main services types, "Hikari Family" and "Hikari Mansion." If your apartment building ("Mansion" in the Japanese vernacular) already has Hikari (fiber optic) service installed, the cost to you will be siginificantly lower.

Before looking at the Prices

You can look at the prices pages below for general information but please understand that in most cases you will not be able to choose one Hikari (fiber optic) service or another. There are several various types of systems and the type (and cost) of the system in your building will depend on the number of units in the building as well as the type of construction.

The design of some buildings allows for easy connection and others require more work and, hence, have slightly higher fees. Likewise, large buildings with many units usually have lower fees. Total monthly fees for NTT West Flet's Mansion-type Hikari with OCN start at ¥4,147/month.

Flet's Family-type Hikari Fiber Optic Service

Family-type connections are stand-alone connections where the fiber optic cable is brought all the way to the residence. "Family" connections are also possible in some apartment buildings where "Mansion" service has not been arranged.

NTT West Note: There is no minimum contract period. However, if you receive the free connection benefit and discontinue using the service within 15 months, you will be billed back for the connection fee about a month after disconnection.

OCN Note: The OCN ISP service has a minimum contract period of 2 years but the penalty for early cancellation is only ¥5,000, to be billed about a month after you cancel the service.
